Women Leaders

Since opening its doors in 1924, International House has  promoted and fostered women's education, professional careers, and leadership.  Notable speakers have included Helen Keller, Eleanor Roosevelt, Shirley Chisholm, Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, Betty Friedan, and former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. In 1991, I-House launched the  Women’s International Leadership Program,  providing skills-based leadership training and mentorship.
